The project-meeting and an excursion in the case study area of Nebel took place in Gremmelin (Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania) on 10th until 11th of October 2017.
The first day of conference included presentations about the Danube. The issues were index of habitat, quantification of cultural, regulative & provision ecosystem services and basic services and retention of nitrogen, phosphorus & carbon in rivers and wetlands. Finally, the participants results were presented to the plenum.
On the second day the excursion took place to the Nebel. The lowland river is a part of seven case studies and provide important ecological functions. The excursion was organize and led by RESI-research partner biota – Institut für ökologische Forschung und Planung GmbH.
