Regional Water Resources Management for Sustainable Protection of Waters in Germany (ReWaM) – Status Conference
Under the slogan “Water Practice between Frames and Policies” and in the name of the BMBF, the networking team ReWaMnet invited interested representatives of water management, politics, administration as well as scientists. With over 200 participants, the status conferecene took place in the International Congress Center in Dresden on 25.-26. January 2017.
Besides numerous presentations and panel discussions, the 15 ReWaM-projects were presented by stalls on a market place. Further communication and networking opportunities were given during a soiree in the Congress Center. After starting the BMBF funding measure in spring 2015, the projects were now able tho present their interim results.
On the market place, RESI was presented by comprehensive information material such as posters of the modules, a flyer as well as two different questionnnaires concerning ecosystem services and recreational services of the ecosystem respectively. On top, an interactive survey was conducted with the headline “Localizing and rating ecosystem services” which was adressing to both practitioners and scientists. With the help of their expertise, ecosystem services – represented by stickers – needed to be localized to land use categories on a map, and rated regarding the extent of provisioning this specific ecosystem service.
